Segulos

What is a Segulah?

A segulah (lit. “remedy” or “spiritual treasure”) refers to a practice rooted in Torah, Chazal, or longstanding Jewish tradition believed to bring spiritual benefit or blessing.

While mitzvos are the ultimate channel for merit, segulos are supplementary acts of kedushah that draw on deep spiritual truths — as explained by the Maharal and permitted in Shulchan Aruch (Y.D. 179) when done with proper kavannah and without superstition.

  • Ner Neshama – "The candle of G-d is the soul of man"
  • Aliyah l’Torah – Torah honors bring merit
